About Kyler Sahlmark
After battling with cancer in 2017, Kyler Sahlmark decided to transition from female to male. In 2023 Kyler won a $10,000 grant through Telus Storyhive to explain the story of his transition. "Trans Man" is a six part docuseries, filmed in the Southern Okanagan, and premiered on Optik TV and Storyhive's YouTube Channel in September 2024.
With the dramatic changes happening in the world, Kyler realized how potent these episodes are for opening conversation and exploring hard topics in safe spaces. This project was created with intention and offered in compassion and good faith. The episodes along with the group work pull back the curtain to offer you the personal lived experience and reality of life as a Transman.

Leadership Potentials
Within each course format, Leadership will receive a time schedule template, all handout files, links to all episodes and advertising materials.
Each workshop requires 2 leadership roles:
- One of ally or church leadership
- Kyler or someone in your group who identifies within the 2SLGBTQIA+ and is able to speak about how their story intersects with Kyler's.
Within the workshop you are provided with handouts that guide you through each episode with topics of discussion, new vocabulary terms, a list of 2SLGBTQIA+ media and resources along with suggested questions to guide group dialogue.

Safety
